Let’s Plan Your Perfect Session
As an Owatonna, Minnesota photographer specializing in newborn, family, milestone, senior, maternity, and portrait photography, I’m here to make planning your session easy, fun, and completely you! From choosing the perfect setting and outfits to bringing your vision to life, I’ll guide you through every step. I can’t wait to start planning something amazing with you!
After Booking
Once your session is booked, we’ll plan the details together! We can chat by phone or meet at the studio to talk through your vision, location, outfits, backdrops, props, themes, and all the little details that make your session uniquely yours. This planning time isn’t required, but it’s something I offer to help take the stress out of the process and make sure you feel prepared and excited for your session!
Day of the session
In Studio Sessions: When you arrive, your sets will be ready to go! I’ll take a little time to warm up your kiddos if they need it, then we’ll have fun, laugh, play, and let the session unfold naturally. With little ones, things can sometimes feel a little like beautiful chaos—and that’s completely okay! You don’t have to worry about getting the perfect smile or keeping everyone perfectly behaved. That’s my job. I’m watching, adjusting, and capturing those amazing moments along the way. So relax, enjoy the experience, and let me do my thing! ❤️
Outdoor Sessions: I’ll have everything planned ahead of time, and we’ll meet at the studio before heading out to our location, unless we’ve predetermined a different meeting location ahead of time. If the weather isn’t cooperating, I’ll reach out to you beforehand so we can either reschedule your session or move things into the studio. Either way, we’ll make the most of it and get some amazing images!
After your session
Once your session is complete, I’ll carefully edit your images and prepare your gallery. Most galleries are ready within 1–2 weeks, but please allow up to 2–3 weeks during especially busy times. And if you’ve given permission for social media sharing, you may even catch a few sneak peeks along the way!
Viewing & Ordering Session
This is where the fun really begins! You’ll come back to the studio, get comfortable, and view your beautifully edited images on a large screen. Together, we’ll go through your images and you’ll choose your favorites and decide how you’d like to display them in your home. I offer beautiful artwork and products designed to turn your images into something you can enjoy every day—not just leave sitting on your phone. I also have an amazing wall-design program that allows us to see your actual images on your walls, to scale, before you order! Simply send me a photo of your wall with a standard sheet of computer paper taped to it, making sure I can see a little bit of the floor and ceiling, and I’ll take it from there. This makes choosing the right size and style so much easier—and you get to see exactly what your finished artwork will look like in your home!
Finished Product
The Finished Product: The best part—taking your memories home! Your digital images will be ready for you to take home the same day as your viewing session. Prints and other beautiful products typically arrive within a few days, but please allow up to 10 days, depending on what you’ve ordered. Then all that’s left is to enjoy your beautiful new artwork!
